Much to my delight, they had a Monte Cristo sandwich on the menu. I’ve not been able to find one since Bennigan‘s closed. This one was good, but not quite on the same level as Bennigan’s (or at least my memory of it). The buffet looks like it would’ve been a good choice; everything appeared to be piping hot and there was quite a selection. Everything on the salad bar looked fresh. The regular menu was extensive and I think I’ll try something from it the next time. Our waitress, Julia, was the star of our experience. She was sincere in her pride in the restaurant snd wanted to make sure everything was right. She was outgoing without being intrusive, very attentive and accommodating and made me happy we had chosen The Local Fork for lunch. Another bonus was the decor. It was cozy and warm. The Christmas decorations were well done and made it feel even more homey. We’ll definitely be back.

I got the American potato with chicken fried steak and it was a perfect portion. My granddad got the Loaded Mac and cheese, not only was it beautiful but decadent. My mom got the chicken fried chicken with onion rings and potatoes on the side. The fry was nice and crispy and the onion rings were mammoth. Large portions mean share or leftovers. Service is very friendly and accommodating. I definitely recommend, as a great option for some classic southern eats without excess grease and a menu option for everyone.

We really enjoyed our experience here. It is a nice rustic place and a lot of effort was put into the Holiday decorations, creating such a festive and lovely atmosphere. We got the buffet and I thoroughly enjoyed the meatballs. They were amazing! They had a chicken fried chicken in gravy that I also really loved. We had dessert and got the blueberry bread pudding. It was absolutely incredible. What I appreciated as much the good food was the service. As we were leaving I stopped to talk to the gentleman who waited on us. He found out it was our first visit and gave us a "Thank You" card with a free appetizer for our next visit. We will definitely come back. It was a wonderful experience.

After we won the taste of Emory thanks to the women’s service club, we won a gift card to try this restaurant. They had it very nicely decorated with a Christmas tree and lights. Drinks are served in oversized mason jars which was cool. My in-laws were visiting from Colorado & they loved their food! I got the bacon jam sliders and they came with fresh cut fries. They were SO good! We will definitely be back!

We ended our fishing trip and enjoyed lunch here. We had AMAZING lunch, great service, it was fresh in there, the ice tea is refreshing!! I only took a picture of my food but everyone enjoyed their food! We were a group of 6. Our server has an amazing memory! He took our order got it correct didn't write anything down. Definitely will be back. My catfish was delicious!!!

If you ever find yourself passing through Emory and see The Local Fork, do yourself a favor and STOP! We stumbled across this little gem while traveling, and it instantly felt like home. Their Sunday buffet was pure Southern comfort. Perfectly seasoned hamburger steak bites, crispy catfish, and that golden fried chicken that could make your grandma jealous. But y’all… those drop biscuits with honey butter?! Absolute heaven. I could’ve made a meal out of those alone! The staff were the kind of people that make you feel like family from the minute you walk in; warm smiles, quick service, and genuine kindness. Great prices, incredible food, and that small-town charm that just fills your heart. 5 stars, hands down. If I lived closer, they’d know my order by heart by now!

The Local Fork has a cozy log-cabin vibe both inside and out, with warm, bright windows and a clean, welcoming atmosphere. The food is great-you really can’t go wrong with any of their fried options. The blooming onion is a must-try, it’s delicious and big enough to share with the whole family. They also bring out complimentary cornbread and dinner rolls, and the butter was so creamy. Service was fast, and the wait staff was awesome. We also loved the variety on the menu. We’ll definitely be back!
